The Edelbrock 2009-2013 C6 Corvette ZR1 supercharger heat exchanger mounts in the stock location using factory hoses and clamps.
Heat exchangers are a critical component to any boosted application. When you compress air (via a turbo or supercharger) it heats up. When you cool the intake air it becomes more dense and you essentially amplify the effectiveness of your blower. Additionally, if IATs run too high your ECM/ECU will actually pull engine timing to compensate for the hotter forced air and this directly affects power.
Edelbrock's design is a perfect fit and replacement for the stock LS9 heat exchanger. Included in this kit is the Edelbrock core. You simply reuse all of your stock factory hoses, clamps and mounting hardware. This is a must have part for increased boost and/or in warmer climates
